'What's that Coming Over the Hill?' is the fourth book in the British Wildlife Tales series.
In this title, the little family go on a camping trip to the uplands and moorlands of the British Isles, and as they set off on a long walk into the hills, they come across an entirely different world of wildlife - one that they hadn't ever imagined before.
'What's that Coming Over the Hill?' builds on the the child-like style of the first three books, covering a range of birds, mammals, and even a the mighty Scottish midge!
As always, the book is completely free of intimidating jargon, your little one won't even realise they are developing a life-long affinity with nature.
The series was was imagined by Carl whilst he was drawing childlike cartoon pictures of birds so he could help his children learn how to identify the species that his little ones might regularly encounter.
The book gently introduces each species with a collection of rhyming couplets conveying just a little about the species' appearance and behaviour.
