'What's that Coming Over the Hill?' is the fourth book in the British Wildlife Tales series.

The series was was imagined by Carl whilst he was drawing childlike cartoon pictures of birds so he could help his children learn how to identify the species that his little ones might regularly encounter.

The book gently introduces each species with a collection of rhyming couplets conveying just a little about the species' appearance and behaviour.
